Seen signs of them over the last week or so (i.e. sandy exits from cracks in the pavements), nothing here yet.
Cycled back from work, had a shower and I'm still picking them out of my ears!
Lovely. I missed them. Used to see them all over when I was a kid in the far east, I am ALL over the place during their season.
Does "flying ants day" still show up as fake rain on weather apps?
If so, Glasgow area has a plague on their hands! 😆

Ran over a load of flying ants on Lamaload climb to the cat and fiddle once, or was I halucinating (bstard hill for a roadie).
It was a week or so ago around here*. Or it was at my archery club, there were clouds of them all across the field that we use, which is about an acre or so. There’s often a green woodpecker around, digging in the grass to get at the ants nests.
*North Wiltshire, just the other side of the A350 Chippenham Cepen Way bypass.
Ours was on 6th July. I know the exact date because I took a few short videos of our hens going crazy across the patio and lawn eating them all!
