Nice ride round Saddleworth this afternoon with HP_Source, finished in the local hostelry with a pint of 4-4-2 and a pint of mild. Then a snooze in the car on the way home as Mrs NBT drove 🙂

We had that last week! 😉

Actually, these threads often open the eyes (and tastebuds!) to some new stuff one might not have heard of.

Possibly not. Just a great celebration of something that highlights the majesty of homosapiens.

supermarket shelves with their lovely (and cheap) beer!

Love it.

Currently drinking (too much) Belgian beer and have a lovely bottle of white wine in the fridge (3.89 euros from Lidl in Stadskanaal (Nederlands) - would have been £7.99 here...)

Except they're a pain in the arse when you're in a different country and can't get any of them!!! Except Leffe, and that's rank.

Leffe is rank?

Try some of the proper Belgian Leffe beers: Radiuse etc!

Tetley - tea being t-total now.

Kwak brings back a happy alpine memories, discovered it in Chamonix with the inspired choice of what ever goes in that, which happend to be something that looked like a mini yard of ale in a test tube rack.

Worth risking, but I'm not a fan of over-strength beers. Too sweet.

mogrim - There are some fantastic belgium beers out there. Just buy a few cheeky bottles and get stuck in or find a good pub the sells real beer as these will quite often have some nice Belgium stuff in the fridge.

It really is worth exploring them 😉

should've had the SB before the beer 😉

right now, I have a Thwaites Liberation Ale. Very nice, and they donate to the Poppy appeal for every one you buy. next up appears to be an Old Speckled Hen

I had a Leeds Brewery Pale Ale at about 6pm, very nice it was too. And no, that's NOT Tetleys, there are other breweries in Leeds
