Terrible picture I'm afraid (as with all alien sightings) but there are these weird light patches in the sky right now.

Several of them spread over I suppose the East. Not moving. Kind of fluffy lights, not sharp.

Anyone else seeing these?

Is it aliens?

It's nearly 10pm so pretty dark.

Haven't touched a drop.

People always suggest you're out of it when you definitely see aliens.

Looks a bit erratic for Starlink.  Is someone having a show and dug out the floodlights?

Ask your dog.

Dogs are very smart and can sense when danger (and probes) are close.

Lights projected into the sky from the ground.

Somebody's probably getting married/ opening a kitchen showroom/ celebrating Dua Lipa's birthday.

Probably just a Boeing flew past a short while before, very territorial aircraft and mark their territory by depositing doors, engines, wheels etc behind them. Boeing scat basically.

You'll never moan about your neighbours cats again if your are unlucky enough to live under their flight path.

I guess this thread is something Kayak had to pretend he was posting when he was asked "Why are you taking photos of Stella over the road getting undressed with the curtains open?"

Yeah, I suspect some Stella involvement too...

Recently had these over South Manchester apparently. Probably some high powered lights reflecting of cloud.

That's what I was alluding to.

It happened to me a few years back.  It's hard to explain just how deeply weird it was.  Three hazy lights flying around in some sort of semi-regular pattern.  The looked to be in the sky above the houses on the next block so I walked down the back street for a closer look, but it was a trick of the light (dark?) and I wasn't getting any closer.  That night / the following morning Facebook was awash with locals going "did anyone see those strange lights last night?"

It turned out that across town there was a grand opening of something, a big store maybe, and as part of the festivities they'd hired high-powered searchlights.  From my vantage point the beams were invisible until presumably they'd hit low cloud.
