Are there any Tory’s that don’t come out as pricks?

Unlikely based on their beliefs and intentions for society. You could have a rebel that votes against their government but in reality the rebels are usually against the government because the government is too soft in their view!

Suzanne Webb, yes, yes she is.

For a laugh I put in my neighbouring constituency MP, Gavin Williamson, the website nearly exploded

I'm lucky, mine isnt.

Stephen Doughty is the Labour/Co-operative MP for Cardiff South and Penarth.

Stephen Doughty is not a prick*
*based on votes we are currently tracking.

Happy with the way he's voted, he's also pretty active in local issues too. 10x better than the Tory we had before him who had never been known to enter Wales let alone my little bit of it!

Yvette Cooper, more than happy, proactive locally, and a well organised office for local/national gripes

Daisy Cooper, designated not a prick and quite rightly so.

We could do with a few more of her ilk going after the Tories down south.

Mine isn't (Preet Kaur Gill) - confidently expected that to be a joke site that said yes to whoever you looked up. 🙂

I wouldn’t put too much faith in that site:

https://www.ismympaprick.co.uk/mp/margaret-ferrier

And they bottled naming a snow plough after her.

Margaret Ferrier, super spreader.

Mines Barry Sheerman, labour in Hudds. Absolute twonk who has never done anything for the town and is just voted in but stupid Labour voters who only vote that way cos they always have. Conservative candidate at last election was a well respected businessman who lives in Hudds (Bazza doesn’t) and has done loads for the town over the years. Real shame he didn’t get in.

I've reported this post for going against STW rules of having the audacity of supporting a Tory.

Labour forever!

Mine is a Tory, so aligns with my views and outlooks.
If they were labour or the other lot, then obviously they would be pricks.

Raab, and I know first hand he is a prick

My local area is 97% Lib-Dem just to annoy Raab, unfortunately most my area is semi rural. Blue rosette in a pig wins territory

Site seems to say no Labour MPs, so I call misinformation.

Site says yes
Plastic Mak is his name. Tory, Havant
It does add he has voted with a conscience though.
Tbf, i have never met him, nor read any of his mailshots so cannot categorically state he is definitely a prick ( he is tho)

Turns out that Simon Jupp is.
Strong fishing and farming support got him elected.
How is that working out?

Not really though is it.

It's did they vote for or against things that could have improved people lives, helped societies most vulnerable or helped to improve equality.

In theory you could have a good Tory who had principals and served their community well with a difference of political opinion bring a relatively minor crime. Off the top of my head I can't think of one... Ruth Davidson? The minority of the current Tories are cretinous self serving arseholes with horrendously heartless voting records though, that website merely reflects that.

Just more echo chamber stuff really though isn’t it? Not going to change anybody’s minds, nor is it going to help society or improve the lot of vulnerable people...

You've just contradicted yourself in two successive sentences.

If they've championed something that isn't for personal gain then they're probably not a Good Conservative. That's the raison d'etre of the party.

Someone once said to me that when war is imminent you always want a Tory government.

They will absolutely never, ever, unwillingly sacrifice your children to keep theirs safe.

Blair was an aberration rather than the norm before anyone pipes up.

Which is basically judging whether the MP is tory or not isn't it. And by association the people who vote for them also don't want any of those things which seems to be the majority of people - nice country.

Well yes, I thought I'd made that point. My point was that the website isn't labelling them pricks because they are Tories, it's labelling because they have shitty voting records which by pure coincidence...

As far as I am concerned Tories are the baddies but I am prepared to accept there might be some non cabinet Tories who care.

The major problem is there doesn't seem to be many goodies anywhere else.

John Lamont, if Boris stated it was party policy to skin everyone called John Lamont then dip them in salty urine he'd vote with the party.
Might get the talentless specimen a promotion.

When I read the title of this thread I instantly said 'Oh Yes my MP is indeed a huge prick'. Turns out we have the same MP, Iain 'McPrick' Stewart.

But is is not coincidence at all is it. The criteria used are all things tories would vote against by default and in many cases be told to vote against them by their party so it is set up to make all tory MPs pricks.

Has anyone found a tory MP that is not a prick based on the selected criteria?

What I found wasn’t a surprise but looking through I just found that my previous MP claimed getting on for £70K in 'winding up expenses' which covered office wages and redundancy payments which doesn’t sound unreasonable unless you know that all went to his wife. Thats before the parachute payment and the pension he gets.

Michael Ellis here who voted against most things on that website but did vote that two people of the same sex can marry. The MP for Northampton South, Andrew Leaver, even voted against that. I cannot fathom how not letting two people be happy can be voted against.

I'm confused - its says mine's not - but he definitely is. He may have voted the "right" way on the issues in question but he's still not someone I'd trust to hang my washing out.

Bury South, the constituency next to binners and the same Tory situation including getting a wage from Pendle (40miles away) where he lives and is a councillor as well as pocketing MP salary . Wrote a letter to Andy Burnham complaining about the way that he was dealing with covid as a result of the government not giving Burnham the funds to do so... Moron

Joanna Cherry (SNP, Edinburgh South-West) is a prick as she voted for "more restrictive regulation of trade union activity", but gets thumbs-up for the other criteria the site judges MPs by.

Need to remind people that the majority of voters in the last election didn't vote tory, its only our not fit for purpose voting system that keeps the tories in power.

The voting system will have to be addressed, with the added benefit of ending the tory party in its current form.
