To think about... worry about... care about and be concerned for other forum users.

Not just the one's that I've met and would call friends in real life but some of you other randoms? Afterall, you could just be robots...

You're secretly worried about TJ not wearing a helmet aren't you? ๐Ÿ˜‰

As above it's only human. The phrase 'grief lite' springs to mind.

I am, although an otherwise peaceful and thoughful person, often compelled to punch swans.

Not weird at all, and if it puts your mind at ease, I'm not really any of those people I claimed to be. Not even MrNutt

Surely you can't be worried about whether I'm real, Yeti??

I am worryingly genuine ( although my hair color isn't - had it coloured again yesterday :-))

Top tip:

Always copy and pasta lengthy posts before you hit the submit button. Nothing worse than losing several paragraphs , in my case of vitriol, due to the board going bang.

Another top tip, perhaps even topper: get Lazarus add-on if you're a Firefox user. It saves form/text box content as you type, so you'll never have suffer the long-post-dumped-into-oblivion frustration ever again. It can easily be left off on sites you don't want form information saved.

+1 for Lazarus.

And for some bizarre reason i was thinking about some of the posters on here while in immense pain during a 7hr MTB race - quite odd.

If the effort for team bullheart, the response in a (reasonably) recent RIP thread, the support in the various "i need help", "my wife's left", "i'm not feeling good at the moment" type threads are anything to go by....

then its not weird at all ๐Ÿ™‚

This forum, despite its angry-i-must-win-or-be-right-all-the-time-for i-am-lord-of-STW-types, is surprisingly supportive at times.

The thing to remember is that for everyone who thinks you're an idiot (guessing some recent tags and comments are playing on your mind and in a twisted TSY type of way its ended up with this thread?) there's many more who will be lurking on the site amused by an injection of fun into the forum but scared to type themselves in case the forum lords set on them.

i can't work out whether i like you... on one side you're a stupidly fast rider and what i'd now class as a friend in both the real and online world... on the other you steal my tupperware and i'm not a fast rider so maybe we're not compatible and that dating site lied to us.... tricky ๐Ÿ˜ˆ

Cheers Phil and Kaesae!

See phil sometimes I think the comments are a little annoying, pathetic even, but generally I don't care what other people think about me, especially not on here. But it doesn't stop me being concerned for others... like when a regular goes AWOL, or there is a distinct change in the style of someones posts. Sometimes you can almost read someone going into meltdown...
I guess I just think... maybe they need more Yeti in their lives... maybe they should come ride with me? ๐Ÿ˜†

Every rule has it's exceptions Dez. As I've been trying to explain to your Mrs. She will accept 'us', I know she will.

Phil... you okay? Hug? Fancy a ride?

*Wonders how another foumites job hassles are going??*

I guess you are referring to me TSY, thanks.

My old company still has not provided a reference after being asked 4 times (apparently they have a reputation for being slow).

I am beginning to wonder if honesty was the best policy with regards to the disclosures I made in the pre-employment heath questionnaire.

It is all very frustrating.

Plus I have just found out that I bought some fake Chinese razor blades this morning. The good thing is that the seller is going to refund the money.

I must admit that I am still feeling quite bummed ๐Ÿ™

However, the sun is shining and I am going to go out for a blast on my bike soon.

My job is a hassle if that is any consolation. They make me come here every day, sit at this bloody desk, write software blah blah, same everyday, they seem to think giving me money makes it alright. ๐Ÿ™

In jokes are fine, some people are just not in on them which makes them grumpy, we are hardly an cliquey group and the humour is hardly exclusive so I wouldn't worry about stroppy forumites.

dont worry about the in-joke thing.... basically a few of us lead a MrNutt troll/worrying if not a troll thread into the surreal and junkyards BP put enough pressure on his brain to force him to write a post telling me and TSY off for having in-jokes and ruining the forum.

@Ho hun - good luck dude! i always figure honesty is the best policy as you're less likely to get stung at a later date ๐Ÿ™‚ as long as you didnt mention STW on the application....

I worry about the Louise in Sammy-Louise

The Southern Yeti does seem to flirt with androgyny like a lovelorn teenager hitting on his English teacher.

I have a past that saw lots of care and concern for me last year. Lots of that care was from people i've never met and possibly never will.

It's not weird at all. It just goes to show beyond much of the bickering here, there is also a very healthy sense of community.
