[Closed] iPod touch not displaying calendar entries

Hi guys,

I'm having some problems with my iPod Touch. It synchs with Outlook on my desktop PC, and whilst both contacts and Notes synch and display on the Touch, calendar entries do not display at all. I'm running version 3.1.3 which as far as I'm aware is the most up to date version of the iPod Touch software. For info, I'm running Windows XP SP3.

The weird thing is, when I synch with the PC, 258Mb is assigned to 'Other' (i.e. not music/video/apps etc) which suggests there's quite a bit of info on the Touch that (may) include the calendar entries.

In iTunes I've tried over-writing all calendar entries on the iPod with whatever's in Outlook, but have had no joy. I've trawled the Apple site to no avail.

Has anyone else had this issue/suggest a solution?
Cheers,

Andy

is it definitely not the cheaper ipod out-of-touch?

lastest software is 4.02 but I wouldn't be in a hurry to load it.

what version of Outlook on your PC? it'll only synch with Outlook and not Outlook Express (for instance)

Edit: LOL at the Flatboy

nick, I'm using Outlook 2007 (I think). It's worked in the past, but stupidly I can't pin down when it stopped working.

This may be obvious/not at all helpful but is the iPod touch showing the right calender? I know my iPad defaulted to 'work' and i couldn't see all the entries sent from my Mac 'home' calender

Thanks Ishouldbeworking...whereabouts would I find this? When I look in the calendar settings, all it specifies is; New Invitation Alerts and Time Zone Support. I can't see anywhere obvious where I can specify which calendar entries to display.

Apologies if I'm being daft here.

No idea, i had the problem on the iPad, never used an iPod touch.

I go to settings - mail, contacts and calendars - default calender, maybe you have similar?

Possibly not helpful but have you considered just using a Google Calendar instead?

That way you can see it (via the webpage) from any PC/mac and the Calendar on the touch will sync automatically with it over wifi.

Go into the calendar app. Top left is a button for calendars. In there you can choose which to display.
