iPad Pro- stuck in doom loop of rebooting- any ideas?

My iPad Pro has developed a seemingly unbreakable habit of restarting almost immediately, repeatedly. Have tried force restart and switch off and on again, doesn’t stay on long enough to get any info from any menus etc. Before I head to an actual shop, anyone got any ideas I could try? Plugging in to my MacBook and it doesn’t appear in the finder. Stumped! Cheers….

It won't show in Finder until you tell it the computer can be trusted and enter a password, which you can't do because of the doom-loop. Trip to a Genius Bar is in your future by the looks of it and possibly some major surgery too.

Hard reset?

hold down the home and power buttons together for about 10 secs. The whole logo should appear, and you can then let go of the buttons.  Thos so the iPad version of ‘ have you tried turning it off and on again?’

Sadly, nothing to offer, my iPad Pro is six years old and I’ve never had any problems, so I’d be stuck doing similar stuff myself in the same situation. *shrugs*

Happened to my iphone recently. Was fixed by connecting it to a macbook, then putting it in recovery more, then restoring via itunes. Try itunes if it's not appearing in Finder.

As mentioned do a hard reset, it’ll depend on the model how you do that.

Looks like I might have solved it! MacBook wasn’t picking up iPad in finder, updated the MacBook IOS, it found the iPad and now appears to be successfully in the process of restoring it. Fingers crossed, many thanks everyone….
