Yes I think most people have noticed that, ie, your inability to accept that people aren't going to abandon the beliefs which they have formed over a lifetime simply due to a couple of emotionally charged posts from you.

I work from the opposite, and somewhat more accurate premise, that no one is likely to agree with me. This allows for far greater enjoyment of debates/arguments as I smugly concentrate on pointing out why my adversary is wrong, without any desire to "win" them over to my opinion.

I really don't know who Socrates was Nick, I checked wikipedia but quickly closed the page after deciding "I struggle with long sentences". Did he come to a sticky end then ?

Personally I'm up for a public crucifixion, which appears to have some historical precedent for mouthy carpenters. Although sadly I doubt that I will leave a 2,000 year legacy. I've not even bothered writing a book, just a couple of letters in the Guardian.

It's OK e_l, we'll just make up a few nice stories once you're not around to denounce us. It seemed to work out OK for that other fella.
