[patent pending] Kettles have an adjustable temperature shut off thingy? [/patent pending]
What so you can not boil water?
Probably because if you're that concerned about making proper coffee you'd have a coffee machine for that and only use the kettle for tea (and other alternatives).
the optimum range fo temp for brewing coffee is 91-94degs, so that would save a rainforest just on its own! 🙂
So you too have discovered the optimum Pot Noodle temperature is slightly below boiling?

But they tend to spring a leak just after the warranty period expires, so need replacing, which aint so green after all.
Some Bosch kettles have different temperature settings.
So, £60 for the Bosch kettle linked above. How long for its savings, over a regular kettle, to pay for itself if making, say 10 cups of tea per day???
Yep - loads of temperature-controlled kettles about.
I use one for tea - 80-degrees for Oolong for example.
Although from an eco point of view it's not necessarily great, because it holds the temperature, so the temptation is to heat a lot of water, then keep pouring from it for each new cup.

So, that's 65.12195122 days in a year then. Cool, glad that's clarified.
Thats good, so lets all buy one and save a rainforest. Oh, wait. That will mean we chuck away all our current working kettles.
Mmmm, thats a bit of a waste.
