I saw some weird made up sport the other day that seemed to consist entirely of running along with a ball then throwing yourself through the air and feigning death whenever anyone came within 20 feet of you. Give me quidditch any day

And don't start me on these "bicycle rider" fannies.

Running around with a pretend broomstick between your legs.

This.

From the same story:

"Quidditch players do not fly as they do in Harry Potter, but they do run around with broomsticks between their legs".

No shit?

They look like real broomsticks. Were you expecting something extra from them?

If they can't fly, it's not Quidditch.

Some sort of brush attachment otherwise it's not a broom stick, it's just a stick which I guess people are free to pretend is a broomstick.

Do you think it would be frowned upon to turn up with one of these?

There's versions available for the causal player.

Ay fair enough and I'm inclined to agree; having two balls is utter madness.

It's more the fact they all look like they are knocking one out...

Just down the road from us, if I'd known it was on I'd have taken the kids for a laugh.

Instead we went to Hicks Lodge and went round in circles with bicycles between our legs. I mean, wtf is that all about?

The thing about Quidditch is that it doesn't actually work as a sport. I mean, the team that catches the snitch always wins, so why bother with all the other stuff?

That. I can't get round the fact that it fundamentally doesn't work, the scoring system is flawed, it's worse than F1.

People running around pretending to fly, meh, sounds fine to me, better than church.

Reassure me here guys, but I thought having two balls was normal. It is normal isn't it?

I thought this would be about people who think cycling is doping-free.
