I thought Hora was the only thing worth doing in Manchester?! Just picture the scene DD and Hora going at it while Binners watches on from the corner of the room like a homo erotic adoring gecko....
Just checked it binbins. Now, I'm excited!!
schrickvr6, I have the strangest boner right now.
So do I!
Hora has a permanent one due to the viagra he takes every morning
Ummm - Binners? You know that place you recommended? The Deaf Institute, that one.
They only have Europiss on tap.
This is Manchester, y'know, not That London or Paris or something
I'd be happy to spend all night in the City Arms ๐
Me three ๐ณ
nbt - We'll start in Sand Bar across t road. Loads of scruttocks old nob-gobbler and suchlike for you grandad! ๐
Dead handy for the train at oxford road too mate
I'm disappointed Cougar. And I'd never assume such ignorance from yourself.
Aw bless. Group hug!

##Dead handy for the train at oxford road too mate
Easier to walk down from Piccadilly (voice of experience)
There tha goes mate. This sound more like it:

Walking from piccadilly? Are you mad? Why not just get the train to Oxford Road?
can I join this brigade? It'll be a recently-ex smokers party too!
Whats happening? Binners remember when WCA came up. It was just me, thee and WCA in the pub!
Indeed morgs. All welcome at deadly's big shag-a-hora night out. binners might still be off the fags. ๐
Sssh. He's here. ๐ณ
I'll have a good read of the thread to see what's what when after work (damn interweb monitoring!)
What? who? huh? You bastids, don't go spiking my drink then making sweet love to me ๐
That'll be a motivation to stay off the fags. I can just imagine the grief I'll get otherwise ๐
That night with WCA is very hazy. I know there was whisky involved in the Britons. Oops!
And Hora - since when have you needed your drinks spiking, you slaaaaaaaaaaaag ๐
If you like good beer then the Marble Arch on Rochdale Rd is worth a visit or you could go to 57 Thomas Street, which is a spin off selling the same beers. Pint, Manchester and Best are all lovely, as is the Yarlington Mill Gwatkin cider. For curry I can highly recommend East is East on Blackfriars Street.
i'm not in manchester next week, but now i wish i was ๐ฅ
I've got loads of gardening to do Thursday night - shame
justatheory - good call on both.
The guy (ponytail) who works in 57' used to manage Surburbs a really nice indie coffee shop on Deansgate before it shut down ๐
In light of the sexism thread, I'd like to make it known that this will be an all-inclusive evening out. hora can be kept tied up in a corner in case anybody's worried. (he'll enjoy that anyway) ๐
What night and where then?
This appears to be a 'blokey' gathering.
Edit - I didn't mean that it was sexist.
This appears to be a 'blokey' gathering.
Sexist! ๐
I might be lurking in the corner - watching, listening, reporting back to STW headquarters on any unseamly behaviour.
Then jump up and shout BAN!
I'll have a twitter feed on the evening's events. ๐
I might come over if you are driving up darcy and I see your mirrors
I'm going to The Northern Quarter Restaurant tonight. Anyone been? Recommendations? Apologies for the hijack.
Never been there I'm afraid. Why would you when the Market Restaurant is across the road? Madnes I tell thee ๐
Aye it looks a bit poncy/pricey, judging by the online menu. My Missus has got one of those HiLife cards though, so it's 2 for 1. I hope it's not one of those places where you need a kebab afterwards.
Hmmm, I may have lived in Manc for nearly 4 years, but I never go out so haven't even heard of most of the places mentioned. Are girls (or even grumpy old women ๐ณ ) allowed to come out to play too?
No sexism in this thread Laydee Gee. More the merrier.
Are we settled on Thursday evening then folks? ๐
I know the chef in that place - go for big hunks of meat for your main!
You won't need a kebab afterwards, just a sedan chair.
Have a cocktail next door first, they are bloody lethal.
Will be in the Britons next Thursday for a meeting.
Up for meeting up later if anyone's still standing about 10ish.
Funnily enough am there tonight as well.......
Try The Angel on Rochdale Road on a Monday night for good ale and the company of real life, down to earth, nice to chat to TV and film celebs.
Thursday? Bugger......I'm in North Wales ๐
Mon, Tue or Wed are best for me
Bugger! I've just realised that I'm stoney broke so really can't go out. ๐
So no need to be scared off, chaps ๐
I reckon the Ox pub then Akbhars
Dunno about you guys but I'm now of an age where I need to eat early, 'specially when beer's involved.
What happened to my chin-stroking evening at The Deaf Institute - that looked bloody great. ๐
Akbhars sounds good though hora - is that a place for the purveying and eating of fine eastern spicy foodstuffs? ๐
EDIT:
Dunno about you guys but I'm now of an age where I need to eat early, 'specially when beer's involved.
Actually, kinda me too. Prefer the early curry, then beers at wherever - Immagonna carry a bag of parsley for hora to eat afterwards...I'm not sure I can take his curry-garlic breath on the back of my neck. ๐
An admiral idea.
An admiral idea.
Immatinkin that's a sci-fi related joke that's gone so far over my head, it's in outer space. ๐
Why don't we do rusholme for a curry then a collective group chin scratch at the deaf institute/sand bar?
