I don't think we've got Renee nailed down yet.
Arnie as Gruber I reckon.
Hugh Grant as Herr Flick (or John Hanna)
Bill Nighy as Alfonse
The guy who was Dougal in Father Ted - there has to be a role for him Shirley ?
Al Pacino as Renee.
Thread title says Hollywood movie, not Film4 adaptation!
Gerard Butler as Renee
Jennifer Lawrence as his missus
Bradley Cooper as the lover
Fassbender as Flick
Tom Hardy and Christian Bale as the Two airmen
Madonna as the Fallen Madonna with the Big Boobies
Sean Connery as that policeman bloke.

That was my first thought! But they'd probably cast him as Rene instead and it'd be dreadful.
Vin Diesel as Rene

Incidentally who is this new character Renee?
We didn't where we are today by reading and responding to the thread title !
Good point Hels.
lol@vin diesel.
Incidentally who is this new character Renee?
How about Renee Zellweger as herself?
English Gendarme - Sacha Baron Cohen
He already did that in Hugo.
Renè - Peter Kaye

I can't work out whether he'd be perfect or absolutely terrible.
Johnny Vegas perhaps?
Danny DeVito as the short waitress, Arnold Swarzenegger as the tall waitress, Pam Grier as René. Modern, innit?
Helga Geerhart- Gillian Anderson
Directed by Tarantino? Or the Coen brothers?
I would like to see Leclerc fed into a wood chipper, so I'm going for the Coens.
David Walliams as Gruber, Shirley?
Christopher Walken as Herr Flick.
Directed by Tarantino? Or the Coen brothers?
Michael Bay. Got to be Michael Bay.
Walken as Flick +1
Maggie Gyllenhaal as Yvette.
Does everyone really mean Christopher Walken as Otto Flick? Or do you mean Christoph Waltz?
Kate Winslet as Michelle from the Resistance. Her voice is already perfect for 'Right, now listen here you chaps!'
Can I just say Eva Green as Yvette.
Armstrong and Miller as the British airmen.
The comedians not the cyclists.
Isn't it.
I'd really like to see this made with some of the ideas - inspired.
Not sure how well it would go with an international audience though.
*goes for a lie down at the thought of Rosamund Pike as Helga*

Take the tissues with you this time.....

The French subtitles run into bother with the policeman about 15mins in 🙂
Scarlet Johansen as Mimi. She's a short arse and they could probably work in some action scenes too.
Struggling with the Italian officer but I think Hans Geering, the German who gets sent to England accidentally would be better played by Christoph Waltz than Herr Flick as it'd be a comedy turnaround.
What about Depardieu for Rene? Old, crusty, outrageous French accent and inexplicably popular with the ladies (so I'm told)
Is Depardieu still alive ? I read an interview with him where he confessed to drinking 4-5 bottles of wine a day. I think he is a tax exile in Luxenborg or somewhere.
