Nothing will change. Obama replaced Bush and ramped up the war in Afghanistan (getting stuck into ****stan too) and not only did he keep gitmo open he stopped letting people out.
If Palin gets in it'll be the same strategies.

Personally I don't think the Republicans will choose anyone other than a reasonably heavyweight candidate, unless for reasons which I don't understand they don't want to win.
