I reckon any watch with ILLUMINATOR written on it that big should be able to light your way home across a dark foggy moorland like a maglight

If I shout ILLUMINATOR whilst pressing the buttons on my watch I transform into a light-themed Superhero.

Not much call for it in Simister though 🙁

Diving to 100m is all very well but could it cope with 4 showers a day?

I have a watch which since its last battery change is waterproof to a depth of 0.00 of an inch ..as in not at all

Probably dry seals, most water-resistant watches have O-rings to seal parts like screw-on backs, winders, push-buttons, etc, and these should have a tin film of silicon grease applied when the case is closed up.
When I opened up my Seiko SPORK to regulate it, I greased the O-ring carefully before putting the case-back back on; helps stop the O-ring from binding and pinching out when the back is tightened up.

@countzero..useful info thanks ..in the meantime following on from the info received earlier
I have looked on the Animal website and they do indeed have their own service department but I haven't as yet contacted them with regard to a price to re-seal & service ..
The watch itself still works perfectly ..
Cheers

Bugger me those watches are fugly.

My ideal is a minimal watch with no second hand and a crystal clear, simple display face.

I'm sooooo near buying a Daniel Wellington but it's just the way they've reversed the D on the facia.

It would irritate the hell out of me every time I looked at the thing...

Has anyone heard of Skagen watches, they look and seem mighty classy lightweight and slimline.
I’ll take a pic if I get a chance of my latest one which is a Skagen.
I have a titanium one with carbon face. 😉

Mine is waterproof to 3000m and is milled from a solid block of titanium. This is essential for my usage, which includes washing up, having a shower and the occasional swim.

I do rather agree, I’d be attacking that lettering with a black Sharpie...

A small one. It is about 0.75mm high.
