They are supposed to get out before you get in though.

I refuse to sleep in any bed with an electric blanket, and prefer to get into a cold bed.

Why?

Because when I was a kid, we had one catch fire in my room. I can still vividly remember the smell of smouldering mattress as my dad dragged it out onto the drive in the dark.

The mother-in-law once innocently set one up in a bed we were sleeping in at her house, never told us, and left it on all night. I woke in the early hours drenched in sweat thinking I was dying. When we discovered the blanket turned on I nearly had a fit! I had to gently explain why to her over brekkie the next morning...... ๐Ÿ˜•

Nothing new here, I've got one of those human bedwarmers at home for the last 20 years. Works a treat,.....but an electric blanket turns out much cheaper on the long run I'm afraid.
