Our company is booming.. we simply can't get enough of our stuff out of the door to satisfy our customers..

That said, our Board are frustrated because we're 10million down from 120 to 110 on what we were aiming at as a group.. even though our sales target has been extended twice and we're still surpassed it and we're talking profit ๐Ÿ˜ฏ

I run a small printing company - we'll finish about 5% up on last year. So not too bad as I know many printers have really struggled this year.

I set up a confidential waste destruction company a month or so ago. Slow is the best way to describe it. We'll get there though.

Anyone in Greater Manchester/Cheshire wants a competitive price for the destruction on confidential waste or WEEE waste let me know ๐Ÿ˜‰

Wow, judging by this thread everybody is booming across many different business sectors... so why very poor growth and GDP?

Is paranoia driving us into being a nation of 'busy fools'?

Work smarter, not harder!

Indeed anyone can be busy, i try to work smart, so i actually make money too.

I see competitors and know how little they charge, truly they are busy fools, in fact many won't be in business next year.

We will probably post our best annual profit figure ever this year.

But then most of our sales are outside the UK.

I'm far from smug, on the edge of things being good or grim, and no one or nothing else to rely on...

we're flat out because they sacked half the workforce leaving the rest of us to handle the load - which is about 20% down

retail, $hit, fuel sales $hit, animal feed $hit.

basically people aren't spending money, the weather is too warm and dry to need fuel for heating and grain dryers. and animals are still in the fields on grass rather than in sheds and on feeds.

So that covers most of the businesses core areas.
