[Closed] How to be a mature person?

What are the signs of maturity? I tick most boxes in my working life, infact colleagues may well describe me as too serious, but friends and family suggest I need to grow up (mainly referring to my sense of humour, and perhaps inability to reign it in at inappropriate moments - although I put this down to a nervous affliction). So heads down, what should I do to appear (even actually be) a more mature person? I'm not going to start drinking pints of Mild though.
