But

Mrs Stoner and I are having a metaphysical argument about holdups. Basically along the lines that if I met her wearing them, it would all get physical v quickly. Her Maj is not so sure.

Yay or neigh?

And if t'were yay, where would you buy them? and in what style? anything else to consider? Ladies please do chip in.

Yes, v nice. Stockings and suspenders not so and should be sent back to the 80's where they belong

Proper stockings or hold ups. Either will do for me.

The man who invented tights however, should be in Guantanamo.

I knew this woman who used to wear them to work. With a rather too short skirt... I'll say no more.

Hold ups ok but proper stockings are best. RHT's or Fully Fashioned are best.
Look on Stockings HQ https://www.stockingshq.com/
Secrets in Lace http://www.secretsinlace.com or
what Katie did http://www.whatkatiedid.com/en_gb

My wife is into the whole vintage thing so has my approval

I may have to review my opinion of stocking and suspenders after realising Miss Houns often wears them in shoots ๐Ÿ˜ณ

Good, then we're all on the same page.

What about when MrsStoner wears them? Or was that not the question?

I'm an 80s kid. My first two "proper" girlfriends always wore stockings or hold ups. It used to get physical quite quickly.

Tights are something frumpy mums wear. We have two kids..... ๐Ÿ˜ฅ

I'm not clicking those links. I clicked the crocs link and now have a croc fest in the side panel, prompting the OH to query why I was looking at crocs.

EDIT <clicks on 'new incognito window'>

MrsSb used to wear stockings to work back when she was in her early 20's, then went to tights for work [bad] and hold ups for going out [good].
She recently bought some new UW including suspenders though [very bad and good at the same time].
Hubba!

I wore them a lot in my younger days, also on my wedding day.

Posh department stores always have a good selection in many colours.
I think I may dig mine out again and hope for a good outcome. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Word of advice from Other half if buying suspender belts then the ones in high street shops / department stores aren't very good and more likely to put people off as they have plastic clips. What you need is at least a 6 strap belt with metal clips this way the stockings will stay where they should be and won't slip apparently.
The above links all have descent belts

Hope that helps ๐Ÿ˜€

and yes a lucky boy indeed

I know someone who went for one of those; had a mixture of some 'normal' shots and then some more boudoir ones done.

The normal ones are very good which leads me to believe the other ones will also be very tasteful and arty. Thankfully she's never shown them to me.......

BECAUSE IT'S MY MOTHER IN LAW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mrs Stoner has gone to work in a pair of hold ups* for the first time this morning. She doesn't trust them to stay up so has taken tights too though.

Victory is mine! ๐Ÿ˜€

* and other clothes obviously
