Good PSA
I have fond memories of being in Rome and learning that it was a Europe wide thing and getting into loads of Roman attractions gratis.

And the equivalent in Scotland is Doors Open Days, on various weekends in September. http://www.doorsopendays.org.uk/

I had a nice tour around the local prison today. Rather interesting, as you wouldn't get a chance to look around at any other time (unless you get arrested...)
