There was some confusing line in one of the stories suggesting they were running a service for pedestrians and bikes only, which, if true, suggests that walkers and cyclists are expendable in the event of another fire 🙂

Yes indeed there are 2 vessels.

PS - There was only 2 people with minor injuries caused from the fire which is good as it could have been a lot worse.

You have to go up to Bowness Bay and catch another, smaller boat.

When it was out for extended maintenance in 2009, they provided a passenger service from Bowness.
