[#5523548]

Just asking as there seems to be quite a bit of bad language on here lately.
Mods will happily send a warning if you alter swear words slightly to try and make a point but seem to do nothing if actual swear words are used.

I think if it's not actively filtered out then it's ok to use it.

starring letters out etc may be seen as taking the piss though.

No, it's ok to say **** off you ****, but not ok to star it yourself

Boring fact: it took me ages to work out why there's an rem track called star me kitten, and was one of the more uncomfortable conversations I've had with my dad!!

I got a warning email a week or so back for posting a word with one letter replaced with a punctuation mark. It's kind of bizarre that midweek mini movies can feature guys with their bottoms on display but we cannot use naughty words.

Maybe the mods like viewing bottoms more than talking with them? 😉

Modding seems very erratic, 95% of the time it gets ignored, then randomly you get an email threatening you with a ban. Personally I don't see what is wrong with using ***s to blank out swear words.

If you're expecting consistency from the modz, it's been explained plenty of times by themselves why there isn't any.

It's reactive.

I guess if you upset someone and they report you then the ban hammer falls or, alternatively, a mod happens to come across what you've posted by chance and takes action.

And bad language too. Makes it a bit tricky when watching the vids with my son.

I got told off for swearing, even though every naughty word was caught by the swear filter and starred out.

S****horpe.

Its strange that you can describe your dick/cock and bollocks but not actually what you can do with them when you get them near a ****.

@gofaster - I think you may be onto something 🙂

What amused me is I posted to a thread about the merits or otherwise of friends with benefits !

Just for the record I'd like to express my gratitude for the work done by the moderators ... no really I would

a mod happens to come across what you've posted

I know they enjoy their work, and the ability to get their red pens out can get them overexcited, but that's a bit too far....

You'll be able to say what you want for a bit now as they're all playing GTA 5

Always my logic, although I do often find it odd that this:

It's a bit shit now really.

Is acceptable, and has been for a while now!

Well that's the War Picture Library lexicon of foreign swear words exhausted.

Boring fact: it took me ages to work out why there's an rem track called star me kitten, and was one of the more uncomfortable conversations I've had with my dad!!

It's taken me five minutes now Emsz and I still don't get it so I'm swallowing my pride - what's rude about it?

Can it not also be written as "starstarstarstar me, Kitten"?

Anything I can think of seems tenuous at best.
