Pick a member of Status Quo randomly, take a photo of them to the barber and ask for “that one please”.

Alternatively, something shorter on the sides and longer on top, lay it down neatly on one side with a tiny bit of product and enjoy espresso in picturesque locations.

You can’t go to a hairdresser and get longish hair unless you’re having extensions, growing hair takes time.

Remington trimmer with a 2.5mm comb attachment, five minutes going over once a week. It’s what I do. I used to get the barber down the road to do it, £10 once a month until lockdown, when I faced up to the inevitable and just took the lot off with my beard trimmer. It wasn’t that long, but it was such a waste of time and particularly money trying to keep what little I had in some sort of style. I’m 68, and realised I ought to have done it a long time ago.

Isn’t this a bit of a philosophical question along the lines of a tree falling in a forest - if a 61 year old man changes his hairstyle does anyone notice?

It’s a Clooney or Kemp that gets my vote. Be under no illusions though I went with Clooney and despite being 10 years younger, when I bumped into him in Henley once he very much remained the good looking one.

Eventually had to get my haircut last week, too much of it to fit inside my swimming cap.

I've went for a medium length undercut, still long enough on top for the natural curls to roam free!

You look like Dexy's Midnight Runners.

Is there a portrait of you in an attic somewhere, TJ?

No. He still looks pretty old, just with hair.

Man Bun?
Boris "messy look" Johnson?

I'm 51 and still have a full head of hair!! Yaaay!, but over the years i have notice my forehead becoming more pronounced. Not quite the tefal head yet but....
I just ask for 2 on sides and back and short & messy on top

Never mind fancy hairstyles Tj, you ought to be having solar panels fixed to your head. Be the change you want to see...

You nail it with the LLB look tj. Flaunt your mane and ignore the unkind male hair-envy on here.

Eh hem. No envy from me. Somewhat off TJ's age but I can hear my hair growing at night.
A new hairstyle lasts a week.

I am disappointed. Been waiting all afternoon for the reveal and am nearly giving up hope of seeing the results of Scotland's best hairdressers.

Ok.  A 4 month on update.  I appear to have a shrubbery on my head

free image hosting

Edit:  In the end I only got the back cut so I didn't end up with a mullet.  Its longer than it looks.  Its almost there for a man bun 🙂

Have to do something with it.  Most of it is still a grown out buzz cut so all the same length and its about 7" long now

I have just wet it and slapped some "product" on to tame it.  I'll post another pic once its dried.
