When I spoke to Kestrel (a while back now) they were <£300 brand new (and not repainted black)

Kestrel will do stuff in other colours - I've not managed to kill a clamp in 12 years, though.

I already did!

It's painted black not blue (Kestrel stands come out of the factory with blue base and clamp body) I would think this one has been stuck in a leaky garage.

is that clamp rotatable for clamping the seatpost - you would really want to clamp the frame there nowadays?

My Kestrel stands are red. The clamp does rotate, so can clamp on any tube, and rotate the bike all the way around if needed.
