Is there any way to connect a hose pipe to this? Putting up some guttering on our porch and would rather some discrete piping if possible.

You can get adapters for feeding downpipes into water barrels. Might be able to use similar?

Also, if you've got a big roof and it rains alot, you might find it gets overwhelmed by all the water.
