Not content with serving sausage rolls, bakes and coffee Greggs has now opened a bistro.

Christmas bake with roasties and gravy, steak bake with truffled dauphinois etc. Matching cocktails and wines also available.

Who's booking the next train to Newcastle for this dining experience?

You won't go far wrong if it's in Fenwicks.
Greggs PR and marketing is up there with the best.
It's in my home town so...mebbes.

I don't get all the Greggs love. About the last 3 times I've made the mistake of getting anything from there in the hope that this time it would be good, nope, tepid again. 😐

How come you get tepid and I always get cheese and onion pasties that are hotter than the surface of the sun?

We’re never happy when the yanks takeover the high st.

But Greggs could take a leaf out of their book:

That will be novel, steak in their steakbakes. Not that kind of sludge stuff thats normally in them.

I’m not sure about Cleverleys North/ South divide. On the way into Southampton there’s a Greggs Outlet Store and Newcastle gets Greggs @Fenwicks!

Finally, levelling up's paying off.

I had a Gregg's sausage and bean bake for the first time in a few years the other day. It was the perfect temperature. Not too hot, just nice and warm. It was inhaled within seconds and just hit the perfect spot. That one bake alone makes me sad that there isn't a Greggs in our town. But the local butcher's black pudding scotch eggs defintiely make up for it.
