Has anyone done the extra ‘settlement’ days at Greenman? Due to the horror show ticket scramble, I ended up with Settlement tickets.
Anyhow, just wondering, what is the camping like- nice and flat I hope and are there Settlement specific showers.
There’s no info on the website and I’m getting excited. I like to plan ahead in my brain.

From the festival website, I believe Settlement tickets just gets you a longer stay on whichever of the areas you chose, General Camping, Family Camping, or Quiet Camping; all are equipped with toilets, hot showers, fresh water taps and rubbish and recycling facilities.

When I went I didn’t bother with showers, but my tent was a very short walk from the toilets, a water tap, and next to the fenced-off rubbish facility. That was 2016/17, so they might have changed things around.

Settlement area is on the flat, pretty much all the camp areas are.
The idea is that people can get out and explore the local area more before the festival and make a week of it if it's likely to be their only summer holiday. Bar, food and some activities on site too.
Shower unit didn't look too busy when I've done settlement week setup stuff in the past.

Setup started yesterday with lorries arriving same time as the rain.

CZ I thought maybe Settlement has its own facilities, it has the town side entrance and car park.
Thanks Timber, I love the area and will be on my own for the days leading up to the festival. Any hikes, bike ride ideas will be welcome. I’ll avoid BPW though I don’t want to spend the festival on crutches and I have a high BPW to hospital ratio.

Over the main road and up onto the Black Mountains. Loads to explore, or head to Bwlch and Mynydd Llangorse to avoid over extending, heard that the Allt above the Venison Centre isn't overgrown at the moment.
