On my own in a workshop building trailers, no one to bother me, out the back of the workshop Skylarks are singing there heads off and a Wren is nesting in the box on the side of the workshop.

Haven't twirled spanners in a long time, my hands are pathetically soft and this isn't exactly taxing but it makes a nice change.

Sandwiches wrapped in greaseproof paper, big thick slices of bread filled with corn beef, a flask of strong black tea and a battered enamel mug to pour it into. 😀

Sat in a meeting room in Wigan, whilst it's bloody gorgeous outside and I appear to have bursitis which has numbed my left arm; some could argue not all bad then.

Quiet morning here in the office. Ride at lunch (road bike) in the sun around Corsham/Box. Back at my desk with a brew and enjoying STW with a brew. All is good in the world.

Even though went back to work Monday after Easter have managed to do minimal teaching so far.

Has been bliss.

Monday was mostly revision sessions.

Today has been tests and practicals.

Still wish I was out on the bike though.

Flexi-time is that when your 12 hour shift becomes a 15 hour shift? 😆

A lunchtime walk along the canal.

An hour and a bit until we ride down to Scheveningen beach for beers and whatnot.

A bit of data wrangling in between has filled up the rest of the day.

I spent most of the working day cooking lunch on open fire in the woods and letting a class of kids play freely and discover nature in the near 20* spring sunshine, while goldcrests, tits and parrakeets(!) flew overhead.

(Bonus point if you know where the parakeets are in Scotland)

I've been dreaming of being outside in the sun all day, while I'm sat behind a PC doing as little as possible...

Sitting in my classroom, waiting for the little shits (sorry, dears) to come in. Start in 15 minutes, finish at 10pm. The sun is cracking the pavement. Oh joy.

Jointing cables at the side of an old airfield. T-shirts and no PPE, radio on, no-one bothering me and my mate. Not too shabby as days at work go

Stuck in the worst training session in the world EVER! watching the sun outside.

However, plenty of bars and restaurants along the river, so a quick eat before the football tonight. And my hotel room is directly over a branch of Evans Cycles.

Ramin 5 now has 10% off......

I'll second a brilliant day at work.

I worked from home in Town, office is 10mins walk away but no one is in it.. So I hopped on the Roadie and set the lanes of Kent alight with my blazing tyres. A call mid way through meant stopping and ruining my Strava segment but thats a small price to pay for riding in short arms/legs and shades.

Had a good day today. Got out of the office for a change and went to a meeting in London.

OK, the client's cost consultant nicked all of my "value engineering" ideas and passed them off as his own, but you can't have everything.

Stuck in Washington (not in Geordie land) all week id pay more than £100 to ride some dusty trails. Don't get back until Sat and then I'll have to do my share of dad duties to give the wife a break so probably no riding till next week.

worked 0600 - 1500
Home 1545
Roubaix out 1600
41miles at 17.8 and 2 1/2 hrs later all was well with the world.
All motorists were extra nice today , lots of room and no barging through.

I've been stuck in a meeting room in Michigan all day with colleagues from US, EMEA and South America preparing for a customer presentation tomorrow. It's been painful, and it's a while away from being finished yet! Not fun.
