We'll be having it once Man U. are done. The last series was one of the best as the budgets and builds weren't stupid expensive.

Baby born, house not finished, as expected.
Now all we need is Kev at the end saying how unconventional it is, but in the context of the landscape the mixture of materials, light and space perfectly reflects and suits the needs of the fussy/individual/over-rich ****s*.
* possibly not the last one.

Think we could play grand designs bingo with this series..
Any suggestions for catchphrases or words?

I'll start: craftsmanship

Unca Kev strikes again.

Unlike lightning, it appears Kev can strike twice in the same place...

The front of the house is awful! why would u want that as your first view!!

The original cottage really nice from the outside with the glass attached to the side, but can't get over the nasty steel frame at the front of the house.

I thought Kev was rather kind about the hideousness of that build
looked like someone had driven a B&Q warehouse through a nice country farmhouse

The bloke seemed smug at the start with his budget, not so much at the end ๐Ÿ˜†

such a shame, why couldnt that metal section be all oak framed lovliness, how it got planning permission i dont know

and the nice old original cottage he is using as a store room - having plasterboarded over all the old stone walls

arghh

and his office was just as bad, but at least THAT is a commercial building

the "visitor centre" comment is spot on

Next weeks looks like a budget job.

Well like the budget for the Edinburgh Trams !

Personally i would welcome a bit more technical info during the builds. Used to be much more informative about innovative techniques or indeed traditional methods such as cob walls and such.

Keep meaning to go see some more of the houses from earlier series. So far only seen the Loch House at Killearn, the purple shingled one in Balfron and the oak framed longhouse at Innellan. Would not say no to any of them.

Am I the only one who wouldn't have shed any tears if it had gone t**s up? (This is most uncharacteristic of me to hope that someone fails but he just rubbed me up the wrong way).

Must be the first where they popped two kids out during the build though, one has been done a few times but two, not twins? How did he find the time with All the building And running a business?
Not impressed with the build either, agree with comments about visitor centre and budget
Can see my foot going though the tv hAlf way though next weeks as well

Two things I thought:

Polish lady- cute.

Kevin, tactful but you can tell he was on the edge of saying 'why did you ****ing make the atrim/centre so long and dominant?

I must agree the two ends really complimented each other. The centre reminded me of a 90's Art college extension. Hideous.
