I am struggling to get my Pc to connect to my GPS. Been using it for years and every so often I find they won't talk.. I know I do something simple but every time I forget what and am never bright enough to write it down. Using a USB cable to several Garmins.
All protocals etc are correct and are as always works. I know the Pc is trying to create a virtual com port but none of the one available work. Setting to USB doesn't either. Any ideas?

It's always worth connecting and switching it on before you open your PC program.
