Sorry if this has been done before!
I am spending a fair bit of time working in Swindon at the moment and am keen to find a good restaurant / take-away for those late nights when I come out of work famished. Any recommendations please?
I picked one randomly earlier this week and it was really terrible - possibly the worst curry I have had!
Jewel in the crown at the bottom of vic hill or gurka village in gorse hill are the only ones worth eating in my experience

Bombay Lounge at Peatmoor is good, also the one in Purton but that's not strictly Swindon... Mela in Old Town is OK
Bipblop used to be superb in er the same road as Red Planet Bikes in old town
if you want a bloody good Chinese go to the woodshaw takeaway just outside of Wootten Bassett
