[Closed] Going on holiday - any good books to read?

Any good books out there? Can be bike related, factual or novels? Amazon order going in this week.
Was probably going to take 'The Rider' - bike race in south of France.

Half interested in David Millar's book but might be a bit dark for hols.

Probably take two or three in total.

i'm enjoying 'the shipping news' at the moment. took a few chapters to get into it, but worth a read.

I've being going through the Iain M Banks "Culture" books as holiday reads. Can't put them down.

Skag Boys by Irvine Welsh - I'm a big fan of the Trainspotting series and this has not disappointed

Halfway through freedom by J Franzen at the moment - superb. Recommended if you want to take something from the awesome shelf.

Cheers will start checking them out.
Banks has been a favorite but never touched his Sci Fi stuff before.
DavidB - I was browsing your book earlier. Looks like a labour of love.
Trainspotting takes me back.

French Revolutions by Tim Moore or his newish one on the UK 'you're rubbish but i love your whatever its called. Both very humourous without being lame.
