Are these any good i.e. made to the same standard as their other knives? Often see them a bit cheaper but a couple of shops locally have the 13cm chef's reduced to £40 (I know they've been this price before online but no-one has any in stock!) and am tempted to have a punt.

I have one of those very knives and it's really good. I bought it from Amazon last year and the quality is as good as any other Global knife.

Check out the Robert Welch 14cm Santuko knife, It is usually around the £40 mark and holds a very good edge, my only experience of the Global knives is a small serrated tomato knife

We use the Robert Welch knives and they're very good for the money.

I had a look at the Global knives at the Good Food show and they do seem good.
