Fans of explosions and dust might like to hear that 3 towerblocks are getting blown down in Sighthill tonight (or rather tomorrow morning) at around 2 - 2.30am.
Its a rare night time demolition as the flats are close to the railway line running into Queen St
What kin of numpty thought that this would be a good idea? Blowing up tower blocks in the middle of one of the roughest parts of Glasgow at 2am on a Sunday morning, it can only end in tears.
Have they evacuated the the residents out of the tower blocks first or is nobody telling them.? 🙂
Impressive to watch. I've got/had a clear view of the Riverford Rd flats they blew up recently and it was braw.
I must admit though, I do have some rather fond memories of those flats. 😉 They used to house students in them.
