Never used any before so not really sure what to look for,
any tips? just for general moor/boggy ground to keep the water out my boots.
Berghaus Yeti's uses to be the gaiter of choice as long as your sole fitted them. This info is 15 years out of date though.
Almost any cheapo gaiter will do, but...
Try to get one with a removable/replaceable rubber strap underneath, not riveted.
They can get a bit sweaty, so getting a breathable fabric (usually the upper only) can be a bit more comfortable if you want to pay the extra. Front zip, not rear.
Yetis were great when there was a matching sole unit (Berghaus/Scarpa Attack), but otherwise a bit of a pain and most folk ended up gluing them on.
Thanks for the info,
Found some Trekmates ones in TK Maxx but decided against them having read that thread on Outdoor magic last night.....
Oh yes. The "I almost died because my gaiters were faulty" thread.. 😀
Rab Dolomite have served me well. About £30.
