This stuff - loads of it, on unbuttered toast.
And

I terms of being properly addictive - in the sense of something that you habitually participate in knowingly at the expense of your happiness and wellbeing.....

they are horrible - but the only way to take the taste away is to have another one, and another one, until you are angrily eating them just to try and make them go away.
Pringles again here. The spud-based equivalent of crack cocaine.
Another vote for Pringles here. Also partial to Tunnocks caramel wafers, frazzles and chocolate hob nobs. Well balanced diet right there.

Chilli-Cheese bread from Filbert's bakery in Lancaster.
OMG!
APF
It’s a bit like coming to in the middle of the dancefloor of the Phoenix on Oxford Road at 1AM, circa 1998. Er, or so I’m told.
Jesus! You too?! Between there, The Dew Drop and The Chequers my kidneys and liver took a beating.

Hows that cold turkey going for you?

Back on track! These also do it for me when I’m home.

Not too bad with Pringles still being readily available
Jaffa Cakes. It’s a good job the lemon & lime ones are limited edition
😲 Say funking WHAT now? Why wasn’t I told about these?
I'd forgotten those Sensations mini poppadom things. I feel a stroll to the corner shop for essential supplies coming on....
Feel an honourable mention needs to go to Cadbury Dark Milk Giant Chocolate Buttons. MrsMC has either stopped buying them or got better at hiding them

Bombay mix close second.
Cashew nuts in bronze.
Honourable mention to Peking Rib flavoured Walkers Sensations Oriental Crackers
Coconut macaroons, coconut pyramids.
You know, the more pics that go up, I'm struggling to think of things I don't/won't binge on.....
Peanut M&Ms here too. I now decant them into a small pot to snack on as there is no way of stopping if dipping into a family bag
Peanut M&Ms
The bags sit nicely in the centre console of my car. They don't melt in the bag.
I have to check my teeth when I get out the car to go into a meeting.....😬
+1 Houns.
Also Aldi do a salt & vinegar flavoured cashew & peanut mix at Christmas which is so strong I actually get a buzz from eating it.
Unfortunately it also keeps me awake, so I might as well have just had some actual crack.
Yogurt coated banana chips, even after you read that the pack contains almost 2000kc and you've consumed 75% of them before lunchtime!!!!

Am being good, have cut down to one Teacake a day 🙂 It isn't the one on the left 🙁

SubscriberYou win. Those things are evil and amazing in equal measure.
When they are reduced to £1 a bag I tend to arrive home with five or six. Once opened it is whole bag now. Every time.
He's not wrong is he!
I'm finishing work in 50 minutes and I will be passing several supermarkets on the way home so one of them better bloody have them.
Better time it right though as I've had 2 Ginsters pasties about an hour ago and the amount of arse fog I'm producing is horrendous, just as well for social distancing in the workshop 🙂

A recent conversation with my Boss alerted me to these... Next time I was in the local shop, guess what I spotted on offer for £1 a bag!
Gone... In 60 seconds... 😂
Jamaican Ginger Cake. Used to be a go-to student hangover cure, none of this “slices” business, just open one end and get chewing till it’s all gone.
Nah you have to at least pretend to be high brow about it... Get a plate, and a knife, pretend to yourself and everyone else that you're not going to munch the whole thing in one sitting!
I don't think I have ever managed to actually leave one unfinished mind!
That reminds me... They're not the easiest things to come by these days! Every corner shop used to sell em when I was a student, nowadays you really have to know where to look to buy one! ☹️
Jaffa Cakes. Always bought at least as a twin pack, in case anyone else wants one.
I was genuinely gutted when they reduced a pack size from 12 to 10... Why? Well the temptation to open a second pack because of feeling short changed by 2, and the inevitability that the remaining 8 would just get demolished as a consequence too... 🤷🏻♂️
Marmite on buttered toast.
Has to be butter and can only be stopped when there is either no bread, no butter or no marmite left.
Marmite?!?! Dear God no!
However... Replace it with Bovril, and I'm right there with you... I've been known to take the toaster into the living room in years gone by, along with a loaf of sliced wholemeal bread, a tub of butter, and a pot of Bovril, and not emerge until one of the ingredients has run out! For some reason, I have to wash it all down with milk too... Never drink milk (other than in tea or coffee really), but I'll drink pint after pint of it whilst I'm noshing on Toast & Bovril!

Agreed! Don't give the Maoam Stripes a go FFS though, cos the effect is similar, but they actually taste quite nice! 🤦🏻

I would be in Team GB if the consumption of these bad boys was an Olympic event.
Forgot about these badboys...

For 4 weeks in the run up to Easter I was having a creme egg a day, every day, after lunch. I was happy in the knowledge that they stop selling them after Easter and I could go cold turkey then. Things didn't quite go to plan when I went into Waitrose with only 1 egg left at home, only to find them selling them off, 5 for a £1. I couldn't resist buying enough of the little beggars to last me till June 🙂
How are we 70 posts in with no mention of milk chocolate hobnobs?!
How are we 70 posts in with no mention of milk chocolate hobnobs?!
I was going to argue because the dark chocolate ones are worse.
Also, dark chocolate terrys chcoclate orange.
But really those just taste nicer, but lack the unrelenting moorishness. Still only come in single portion packs though 😒
Crisps. Any crisps. But I've a penchant for cheap and nasty. You know, the kind that stick to your teeth and give you terrible heartburn? Mmmmm... dirty!

Pork scratchings and peanuts are my nemesis.
I’ve had to buy a bag of those Walkers Sensations, I’ll inhale them shortly. I have noticed the last couple of times they’ve been reduced they’ve been £1.25, not £1 😏
@Cougar Yes, love Jamaican Ginger cake, also great warm with custard. Anyone else also have to scrape every last crumb Off tHats stuck to the paper? I may resort to chewing the paper if no cutlery to hand
Coffee chocolate digestives sound horrendous

Mr Kippling’s exceeding good Bradley apple pies. 215kcal And 16.3g of sugar per unit
what happened to the Apple and custard ones, they were heaven
Mr K Bakewell tarts
and caramel stroopwaffels

@The Pinkster
3 things at the top of my list a the moment…
Home baked extra cheesy cheese scones
Home baked chocolate brownies
and more home baked rhubarb cake.I would post pictures but they don’t last long enough.
You're eating pictures of food when the food runs out?
Hungry man.

I did read that the big size pack was four servings
but I call shenanigans, the whole packet is open to empty in one extremely rapid hit
Cadbury Crunchie Spread. Flippin' Kryptonite.
RIP

Aldi 'Moser Roth' white chocolate covered mousse bars. Oh my days.
Aldi's Double Chocsticks (caramel). If your mouth could orgasm, this is what it would be like.

Ginger crack you say?

These bad boys:

And these:

ohh - Bacon Fries and Scampi Fries for the ultimate crisp-based surf'n'turf
Cheese and biscuits.
It's always cheese and biscuits.
Aldi’s Double Chocsticks (caramel). If your mouth could orgasm, this is what it would be like.
Love 'em, but I never feel like a second one.
Yes to Pringles, the sour cream nacho ones are very popular here.
I'm demolishing the KP peanuts. Tempted to search out the coffee caramel McVities, but why would you need the coffee flavour as it will be dunked in a mug of coffee anyway?
Butterbreze (buttered pretzels) from the bakery.
Bavarian crack.

These for me. The good thing is they're so hot that I can't eat them all in one go. I eat enough to get a good sweat on (around 1/4 to 1/3rd of a large bag).
