Then the Pinsent 4-'s win at Athens - again, a performance that was simply about refusing to lose and delving deeper into what was possible than most people ever could

Redgrave and Pinsent's win at Atlanta - against the backdrop of British failure, they were the only British gold medal winners and more than that, this was probably their most dominant win - they destroyed the opposition. The pic isn't dramatic as such but I think it captures the pressure they were under to win and as such, winning only really provided relief at the fact that they didn't lose rather than elation at the win.
