It’s a cracking area that spot isn’t the exact place I like though, that’s a secret.

Home. This is basically my back yard. Will probably have a stroll up there in a bit. We've lived here 7 years, and been doing riding and walking here for 30-odd years and I love it more every day...

And this place. Keswick is just our default destination when we've any free time. Off up there for a week, yet again, in a couple of weeks time for plenty of walking and riding, then cow pie at the George 😀

Tricky, there are so many places I love

I would have said Finnich Glen, but since The Eagle and Outland, it's pretty much overrun with tourists.

However, the deck of the Paddle Steamer Waverley as it heads down the Clyde (with visit to the engine room included as favorite place)

Xlendi, Gozo because I'm moving there (and you can see my flat in this picture)

Streatley, Berks (on a summer's evening. Cycling up the Bell)

Holkham, Norfolk

The Holly Bush at Hampstead

And home.

Upper Teesdale - had the privilege to live there for a short time. Nowhere else in England quite like it.

Maybe Pembrokeshire coast on a hot sunny day, sprawled out in the grass after a climb like this.

Edit: Boatman - my aunt used to live in house on the right of your pic of the Holly Bush. Haven't been to that area for many years.

@martinhutch - I would have some alcohol issues to address if I had you Aunt's old house. It's far too easy to see an afternoon pass by in there.

Agree with Binners. Keswick and surrounds are just about our favourite place in the UK. For me personally it's here but it's often too busy to truly enjoy these days. Love being up there with no-one else around.

Our climbing club hut, next to Dinorwig Quarry - Snowdon in the background. Never tire of it, how could you? Usually down there for a few days every month.

Towneley Park, just behind our house. Safe, clean, friendly, nice caffs.   Get home from work, grab any combination of wife/bike/RC car/kids/grandkids/friends etc and just relax.

Don't come to Burnley, it's horrible.

Your Lochailort pic doesn't seem to be too far away from one of my favourite spots ..Peanmeanach ( where there is a bothy ) .

That area used to be more of a secret 45 years ago when as a 15 year old on a family trip we camped there on a canoeing holiday ..and is only accessed by sea or an 8 mile moorland walk ..

My favourite spot is to the right of the bothy when approaching overland ..it leads into a little lagoon type of bay with beautiful white sand and aquamarine sea..I spent a blissful afternoon there with the missus on a hot sunny day about 17 years ago we had the place to ourselves ..magic !

I think we'd better keep quiet about Lochailort & Ardnamurchan in general, or It'll end up packed out like Northumberland! 😉
