What's any good? Not after anything special in terms of the functions - just want to cut and join sections, and maybe add captions to frames.

How about Windows Movie Maker. It's standard on all versions of XP I think. It is simple and works pretty well.

Ah yes, how silly. Searched that out and found the last video I'd done sitting there (it was a while ago 😳 )
