Over the last few months my wife has been the victim of various online fraud from PayPal to unrecognised card payments. Each time she's spent ages sorting it out, but today she received a card for online banking with Barclays who she doesn't bank with.

We're currently on hold trying to sort this one out but the question is how do we find out what else might be floating around and how to prevent anything going forward?

Getting a copy of (or these days looking at it online) of her credit file to see if there’s anything there that shouldn’t be may be prudent.
