dear football manager geek,

if you're that good at being a football manager, taking worksop town from the doldrums to top flight in three seasons, why don't you actually go and do it for real instead of being borderline orgasmic over what is really just a pretty version of Excel?

Where did that come from?! Why have you been watching people play FM to rant about it?

Also it's rubbish!

I have never really been into computer games but I did have a copy of a mid 1990’s Italian manager game which was quite addictive. I won three scudettos with Bari and developed and amazing knowledge of obscure Italian players. I picked Filippo Inzaghi from obscurity way before he made it in ‘real football’.

I loved that old Italian gane.
Big Oliver Bierhoff was my 'find' at.... Ascoli I think it was.
Was always amusing to start up a new game and see Claudio Canniggia suspended for the first 6 or so months for taking Charlie.
Happy days.
