Just wondering whether to get a fish eye lens for the camera, but it might be a wide-angle lens that I need. it, I have no clue about cameras.

Got any pics for comparison?

Fish eye offers a wider field of view but it results in a very distorted image that is effectively "bent" to fit the frame.

On a wide angle the distortion isn't as obvious, but the field of view is smaller.

If it's for a DSLR then the Sigma 10-20mm is a great wide-angle lens.

Have a look in flickr for pics from both lenses.

Will the sigma fit a canon DSLR body?

It's all relative.

A Canon EF-S 10-22mm f3.5-4.5 USM would set you back £630. So compared to that it's a bargain 🙂

Not a true fish-eye lens on an APS-C DSLR.
