They're not pedalling.

The third guy up on the red and white bike is pedalling and it doesn't look like his bike has a motor. The other 2 are on mopeds things.

As an aside I've seen the wall of death with the motorbikes and it's a loud, shaking, up close thing of visceral joy.

My first time seeing one live was at a Circus/fair in Hastings in 1994 (Backyard jam for any BMX'ers on here)

Dave Clymer (S&M bike riders) tried on his BMX but couldnt manage to stay up on the wall mainly due to the gearing on the BMX

MBUK rode a Wall of Death (on a normal bike) in about 1993!

I remember the article, it was one of the very first editions of MBUK that I bought when I was looking at buying my first MTB.

A young Colin Furze made his own with a lot of palettes,  what a lad with the lid 😕

Nothing to add other than when my sister did our family tree about 30 years ago she found out my Grandfather was a wall of death rider. Would have loved to be able to talk to him about it but I only saw him once when I was about 4 years old and he was literally on his death bed.
