I've already admitted to the Quo on another thread - what (and when) was yours?

Depeche mode... brother had a ticket but couldn't go, so I went instead.
I wasn't a fan, been one ever since.

The Cult @ Manchester Apollo - 1985. Awesome

I know they're touring again, but I don't want to go, as it would sully the memory of that gig

First concert I ever went to was Michael Jackson in 1990. Thankfully I didn't get invited backstage.

Shakin Stevens when I was about 10, 30 years ago!

Folks were on a night out in town and thought they'd surprise my sister and me by dropping us 'somewhere special' and picking us up later. IT WAS NOT MY CHOICE

The Fall at Bangor Uni, circa 1990 (Extricate had just come out).

Mark E on fine form preaching from the pulpit. Seen them several times since and they were just as good. Don't listen to them much on record though.

Guns n Roses, Use Your Illusion tour, Milton Keynes 1991.

Bit of a mad trip for an 11 year old from Cumbria, but so worth it.

Can't remember the name but they were like the West Midlands version of ZZ Top.

The venue was the sort of place were your feet stick to the floor but there was booze, a good atmosphere and naked breasts so it was a pretty good night out tbh

the crocketts

Friends of friends. I once went surfing with Davey Crockett, nice young man he was too.

My first would have been this christian version of the levellers called Eden Burning. Followed up a couple of weeks later by the opposite of Christian folk rock: Pantera 8) . Still one of the best gigs I ever went to.

Oh BarnsleyMitch, be ye not ashamed: I saw Quo once too. But with my dad because he had 2 tickets and none of his workmates would go. ๐Ÿ˜†

In't google brilliant? You can find out loads of stuff

Meatloaf, The Bat Out Of Hell 10th Anniversary World Tour.. Manchester Apollo, Friday 27 March 1987

Fab night, seats right in the middle of the circle with a good view and excellent acoustics. Compare that to seeing him at g-mex a few years later which was quite probably the worst gig I've ever attended
