Looking at a new shape FIAT panda 100hp but i need to be able to get a bike in one. Before i go to a dealership and fag around with my bike (no change there) has anyone tried this? Bike has to go into the car for security at work. Im hoping it will slip in like a dream only having to remove the front and rear wheel.
Interested in your thoughts.
only just depending on frame size. the passenger seat has to be well forwards.
Its a good option as you can get the factory roof bars to stick a carrier on if you need the space inside or its mega dirty.
I can get an xc GT I-drive and a 6" I-drive ruckus and a weekends clothes/camping kit into a Fiat Siecento , it needs the saddles off as well as the wheels though. One bike in a Panda should be a doddle.
My wife's got a Panda 4x4 and she occasionally collects (oh..and keeps me waiting for ages!!) me on linear rides. With both wheels off, my Giant Anthem X (medium) goes in the back easily. The bike is quite a large medium if that makes sense - probably same size as a large Specialized FSRxc or 16" Orange Five.
HTH.
Have a panda and the bike goes in the back without any fuss, seats down and wheels off. If the bikes long forked you may need to spin the bars round.
