We're incredibly privileged to be able to carry on cycling when pretty much every other sporting activity has been closed down. Cyclists need to remember that privilege brings responsibility and from what I've seen around the Cheshire lanes 99% of them are acting responsibly.
I've got some doubts about the Cambridge article, anybody can go to work if they're allowed and can't work from home. So if your stopped and your inbetween home and work that's all the evidence most people could possibly show.

I'd still say it's a bit of a social media Chinese wispers thing. Someone gets pulled over and things develop a life their own. The actual truth gets lost along the way.
