I don't remember it saying that on mine neither (can't be arsed to dig through the cd boxes to find it to check though),

I thought I'd better not post a huge JPEG of the cover due to such swear words only being approved for use in fighting cancer (#****CANCER)....

Plus, alot of the albums mentioned above were recorded by artists much less talented that the Chili Peppers; who are arguable all Maestros on their chosen instrument.

If you say so. Others may have wildly differing opinions, the late Chris Squire was one of, if not the finest bass players around.
The Chilies are the funk-rock equivalent to Status Quo, you hear one of their songs, you've heard pretty much everything they've ever recorded.
Favourite album titles consist of a list of Half Man Half Biscuit titles; Four Lads Who Shook The Wirral/CSI: Ambleside/Some Call It Godcore/90 Bisodol (Crimond) (my favourite)/Achtung Bono/Voyage To The Bottom Of The Road.
Plus Andrew Bird & The Mysterious Production Of Eggs

Where do you get this expansive knowledge of a band you don't like?

@mudshark trout mask replica is exactly what i was going to suggest!
cant say it's my taste but my dad loves it. Possibly the most bonkers album i've listened to. I understand that the creation of the album involved alot og psychadelics............well apparently listening to it also involved alot of psychadelics

Some of the Reel Big Fish titles make me chuckle:

...and considering the "selling out" controversy, it was right on the money.

Jehovakill by Julian Cope.

Was just checking this thread to post that myself. Although the full title is even better.

Jehovakill: That'll be the deicide.

It's predecessor, Peggy Suicide, had a cool puntastic Buddy Holly title too.

Gravelands

Elvis impersonator does songs he thinks Elvis should have done by other dead artists. It's brilliant and Return To Splendor isn't a bad album title either.

...and considering the "selling out" controversy

Controversial in that it didn't work? 😆

Above reminds me of Liars:
"The threw us all in a trench and stuck a monument on top" (bloody great album too)
also "Fins to make us more fish like"
And "They Were wrong so we drowned"
