Folks,
I went to the farmer's market to browse around for some supply and then there was this butcher/farmer selling gutted grey squirrel for £3.45.
It was small so I asked why it was at that price and the person selling told me it was difficult to catch them etc then gave me the look. Anyway, I did not buy it as it was small.
So is squirrel meat getting upmarket? The price is even more than rabbit.

Tree Rats! hard to catch? my old fella is 80 and hardly with great eyesight pots one a month with his air-rifle when they come to snaffle the food he leaves out for the wild birds... they are greedy and stupid and cage catching is easy
