Could either set a yearas a theme or choose a letter to base your theme around. Have been to an F party and dressed as basil fawlty.

Heroes and Villians? We had a good variety when we did one... Cruella Deville, Bananaman (me), Ming the Merciless, Penelope Pitstop, Catwoman, to name but a few...

Pirates? Movie Characters? Depends if you want something easy or not...

A good fancy dress idea is colours. Everyone comes in different coloured clothing and you have to swap clothes with other party goers until you are dressed entirely in one colour.

The BIG 30? Canny call you the youngster any more then.

Don't know about a theme but Debbie and I have made a good Homer and Marge in the past. Me as Marge and Debbie as Homer of course.

Rubiks Cube party.

Everyone wears clothing in the colours you find on a Rubiks Cube, you then have to swap clothing throughout the party until you're wearing all one colour.....

Famous people with the same name as you.

Unfortunately I can't think of any famous Andrews, apart from Liver Salts.

we had a sporting throwbacks theme a couple of years ago which went down well. lots of girls in leg warmers and baggy t-shirts (80's style) and everyone's got a retro football shirt or cycling jersey they can dig out...

best outfit i ever saw was Bender

funniest fancy dress moment was attending a mate's halloween party as a ghost. upon arriving i realised the fault with my costume in that i couldn't drink a beer so i cunningly chopped a corner off, poked my head through the hole and then put the top back on. the problem with this was that i didn't realise that i looked like i had come straight from the deep south ready to burn and lynch...until i entered the room filled with his family, who are all jamaican i might add 😐

London Underground Stations (come dressed as the name of one)

or

What you were doing when the ship went down

or

If you have any fit friends (or your wife/GF does) you have to do something that means they will come in skimpy gear therefore see above 'vicars & tarts' or 'back to school'.
