The theme is 'Cloud Cuckoo Land', described as "A STATE OF ABSURDLY OVER-OPTIMISTIC FANTASY WHERE EVERYTHING IS PERFECT AND THE IMPOSSIBLE MIGHT HAPPEN".

I'm not afraid to do a bit of making/sewing/DIY, but it has to be mobile, no masks or face coverings and suitable for a bit of grooving.

I know you guys are good at this, suggestions welcome.

PS If anyone's interested, it's the Shamabala festival.

I don't think I'd go to a party advertised in ALL CAPS.

I think the last time I went to a fancy dress party the theme was 80s. I was going to go as an 80s rocker until it was pointed out to me that that wasn't actually fancy dress. (I went as a goth in the end.)

Or Theresa May.

Wait - you could go as Brexit. Wrap yourself in an EU flag, make a BREXIT MAENS BREXIT placard, job jobbed.

It's not a prerequisite. Ie you can still enjoy yourself without dressing up, it's just a bit of added silliness.

I take some solace from the hope that "tit hanging from zip line" will be the height of Johnson's career.

You could also dress up and still be miserable.

Is it possible to go dressed as a happily married man who is never blamed for anything that isn't actually his fault?
