The real time suck camping isn't whether it takes 15 mins or 25 mins to put the tent up, it's the mattresses, bed linen, kitchen bits/boxes, chairs, getting everything unpacked and set up and then packed down and into the car at the end. the actual tent bit is pretty minor.
If airbeam means you go for a bigger tent so it'll be just as easy as a smaller poled tent, then you're not doubling the packed size, you're maybe trippling it? But maybe that means you've got less space in the boot for all the other stuff that takes time setting up and breaking down.
And if you're going airbeam because a poled tent in the large size you need is just unmanageable, that's going to be a flipping huuuge packed size, isn't it?

+1. I have tried to keep our camping stuff to a minimum, but over the years the amount of 'stuff' just goes up & up. It drives me mad now when we get ready for a camping trip. Any requests to my Wife to cut things back, just falls on deaf ears.
Last time we went, I couldn't fit everything in the car & my Wife had to drive her car as well. There were just boxes & boxes of things. Pretty sure we will need to invest in a roof box this year.
